RTV = Room temperature vulcanizing adhesive,
is a ready to use silicone rubber adhesive.
RTV adhesive can be applied directly
from the tube and harden without heat.
Used for bonding leaks on metals, for sealing oil pans, timing chain housings, engine valve Cover, thermostat housing and differential covers.
After about 8 to 12 minutes, the surface is tack free.
Temperature resistance:
Continuous from -54°C to 204°C
Intermittent from -54°C to 260°C
(short term up to 340° C)
Silicone dries in 1 hour, fully curing in 22-24 hours at 21°C
